censorship.

Given Google's behavior as regards its
presence in the People's Republic of
China - compliance with severe content
restrictions - this act of censorship
raises deeply serious questions.

Description: One large 7m-diameter circle with two smaller 1m diam. satellite circles spaced 12-m distance from larger circle. The two smaller circles placed like "ears" on one side of the larger circle. All circles were swirled counter-clockwise.

Peter van den Broeke reports that on the afternoon of March 12th his son, Robbert (who over the past 14 years has witnessed many crop circles forming) had a very strong feeling that "something" was about to occur. In the past when Robbert has experienced this sensation (which usually intensifies over several days until it is quite acute) a new crop formation has occurred somewhere near Hoeven, after which the sensation disappears. This time he told his parents that the feeling was exceptionally strong and he therefore went out on his bike to see if he could find a new circle.

Robbert went to several locations where, in the past, crop circles have appeared, but saw nothing in the fields. Returning home in the late afternoon the sensation continued, in spite of the fact that he had found no new formation. At about 9:30 pm on the night of March 12th, while sitting on the living room couch wide awake, Robbert suddenly experienced a "vision," in which he clearly saw a new crop circle being formed.

He reports seeing a very large UFO hovering over a field about 4-500m away from his "special field," a site on the outskirts of Hoeven, where many anomalous events have taken place in the past (for another recent event in this same area, see www.bltresearch.com/eyewitness4.html). The UFO was shooting multiple light-balls down toward the field and it was the light-balls which created the crop circle. Curiously, Robbert called these light-balls "satelites," a term he has not used before.

Robbert then told his parents about his "vision" and drew a diagram of what the new crop circle would look like. As it was now getting late (10pm or so) and quite dark, they waited until the next morning when Robbert's father found the new formation.

Robbert & I have been in these fields during many summers and there are many high-tension power lines in the area. In 2001 we carried out an electromagnetometer-geomagnetometer survey (for Dr. William Roll) in these fields and observed sharp spikes in our readings when we were directly beneath the power lines-but these readings dropped to "normal" only 4-5m away. We did not find any EM abnormalities in the fields around the lines, even in the fields where crop circles existed that year, or in fields where they had previously occurred.

Crop circle analysis shows: that most are not hoaxes

By Nancy Talbott

Although some instances of the phenomenon known as “crop circles” are apparently created by people, scientific analysis of the affected plants and soils indicates that slightly more than 90% of formations tested have a more interesting—and more complex—causation. The BLT Research Team (John Burke, William. C. Levengood, Nancy Talbott has been systematically studying plants and soils sampled from crop formations in the U.S, Canada, England, and several other countries since 1989, and then comparing these plants and soils to control samples taken at various specific distances away from the formations, but in the same fields.

The results of this research have been published in two peer-reviewed scientific journals in 1994 and 1995. The 1994 paper1 discussed the plant abnormalities documented, and the 1995 paper2 presented the finding of meteoric iron on plant stems and in the soil. A third paper has been submitted for publication which presents the discovery that observed plant alterations often follow the well-known Beer-Lambert Principle in physics,3 which describes the absorption of electromagnetic energy by matter.

Williamm. C. Levengood, a Michigan biophysicist with more than 40 years experience working both in industry and at the University of Michigan, does most of the laboratory work. He holds a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toledo, an M.A. is Bioscience from Ball State University, an M.S. in Biophysics from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. equivalent based also on work completed at the University of Michigan.

Since 1956 he has published widely in main stream scientific journals, including multiple papers in Nature and Science; holds several patents; and is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science as well as several other professional societies. For the past 15 years, in addition to pursuing private research interests, he has worked as a consultant to several seed-growing companies and agricultural concerns.

In recent years the BLT Research Team has extended its inquiry, discovering that many of the plant and soil abnormalities found at crop formation Sites are also present at UFO-trace cases and unusual animal death locations. At the request of Linda Howe several years ago, Levengood agreed to examine wheat and pasture grass samples from a mutilation site4 which had been discovered within 60 ft. of an ovoid area of flattened crops near Garnet, KS. The wheat stems from the flattened ovoid area revealed a massive incidence of “expulsion cavities” at the stem nodes, an effect indicating an internal pressure so sudden and powerful that it literally blew holes through the node walls as the internal liquid in the plant stems expanded.

There were also very significant alterations in the growth rates of seedlings germinated from the wheat seeds taken from plants in the ovoid’s center, with a reduction in seedling heights of -35.8% as compared to the controls. These results are typical of findings continually obtained at crop formation sites, and strongly suggest rapid heating such as would be caused by the exposure of the plants to microwave radiation, as well as exposure to unusual electrical fields.

Although it has been suggested that helicopter downwash might be responsible for the creation of circular flattened areas of crops, Levengood is certain that the effects noted above, as well as the dramatic lengthening of the plant stem node—which was also discovered in this incident—is instead a characteristic of electromagnetic radiation, probably microwave, emanating from the epicenter of the ovoid.

Cell wall pits enlarged

When the pasture grasses sampled immediately around the dead animal were examined under the microscope, and the results compared with the examination of the control grasses, the cell wall pits in the plants near the body were found to be enlarged to more than three times the diameter of the pits in the control samples. This finding suggested the same sort of rapid heating believed to be responsible for many of the changes discovered in the wheat samples taken from the nearby ovoid area, indicating a quite possible link between the two events, as well as the need for additional research of similar events.

Since this 1994 Garnet, KS, case the BLT Team has sampled and examined both plants and soils (as well as occasional anomalous substances) at several dozen unusual animal death sites (Levengood prefers the term “bovine excision” Sites) here in the U.S. and in Canada. Several reports5 have been issued which discuss the findings obtained. Much of the work done on the grasses usually present at these locations involves a test6 which looks at specific changes in the cyclic patterns of respiration activity within the plant cells—specifically the mitochondria.

When plants are exposed to increased levels of radiation—in this case microwaves—the mitochondria are often irreversibly damaged, thus altering their respiration patterns. It is these respiration patterns which are monitored and which reveal the mitochondrial damage in plants which have been exposed to unusual radiation. In case after case these altered respiration cycles have been documented in the plants sampled at bovine excision sites. Laboratory simulation, by exposing control grasses to commercially available sources of microwave radiation, produces the same results. Either microwave radiation—or an energy extremely similar—is involved.

Increased magnetic material

Additionally, in recent years extensive soil sampling has been carried out at bovine excision sites examined by Levengood. In the crop formation research, soils sampled from within and outside the flattened crop areas have revealed significantly increased amounts of magnetic material mixed in with the soils; this finding, too, has been replicated in the unusual animal death cases, sometimes massively. In a 1997 Colorado case submitted for analysis by Christopher O’Brien, massive amounts of micron-sized magnetite spheres were discovered during microscopic examination, particularly at the sampling site near the head area. The amount of such magnetic particles which might normally be expected to be present is in the range of 0.4 mg/gram of soil, but here a count of 284.3 mg/g was found. This count dropped off significantly in soils sampled farther away from the body, strongly suggesting that highly unusual magnetic fields had been associated with the event.

Although Levengood and the BLT Team’s primary interest has been the crop formation phenomenon, as word of the laboratory results began to reach people interested in other areas, specific requests to examine plants, soils, and unusual substances related to other unusual situations began to come in regularly. In 1995 the “Sightings” TV show, then investigating a number of apparent UFO-trace cases, asked for analysis of plants, soils, and a number of unknown substances sampled at several Israeli UFO cases:7 the 1987 Shikmona Beach incident, a 1994 event, and a grass formation found in early 1995.

Low melting point

Soil samples from the Shikmona Beach case included a very dark red, almost black, granular substance mixed in with the clay soil. This substance had an extremely low melting point, becoming bubbly under the microscope light, and then hardening back into a black mass of rounded particles once the light had been turned off. Without more extensive geophysical testing, this substance remains a mystery.

Pure silicon

In the 1994 circle formation a white substance found at the center of the event and a red coating discovered on the stems and leaves of plants sampled in the circle were both subjected to energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), which revealed that the white crystals were in fact pure silicon, but without the “growth lines” characteristic of silicon crystals which have been thermochemically grown in a laboratory. The red material produced a high iron peak, but in the presence of so many other elements as to obscure it’s identity.

The plant samples from the grass formation at Qadima in 1995 revealed alterations again consistent with exposure to rather prolonged, localized heating, in addition to other changes which confirmed the presence of energetic changes to the plants similar to those observed within many crop formations.

Over the past several years the BLT Team has examined numerous samples of peculiar substances discovered at crop formations, bovine excision sites, and reported UFO-related events. Many of the substances analyzed have turned out to be basically silicates—the most abundant compound on earth. However, the transformation of the silicate materials into highly unusual crystalline forms in these various samples (forms which are entirely uncommon in the published scientific literature of crystallography) is quite remarkable. Earlier in his professional career, Levengood worked for many years with silicate crystals, thus recognizing immediately the uniqueness of many of these samples. The unusualness of the samples themselves, in combination with the curious locations and situations in which they were found, is of great interest.

Unusual forms of silicone

In addition to the discovery of pure silicon at the 1994 Israel location (a unique finding, to date), silicone—with highly. unusual external forms—has been discovered repeatedly. Two recent cases include a Netherlands crop formation (Brummen, Holland, 1997) and a May, 1998, apparent UFO-trace case in Israel. An unusual form of a soluble silicate8 was discovered in a 1994 Blame, MN. crop formation which may also be UFO-related, and, quite recently, two extremely unusual silicate substances have been analyzed in conjunction with two separate abductee experiences here in the U.S.

Analysis of these and many other substances found at crop formations in many countries, at bovine excision sites in the U.S. and Canada, at UFO-related trace cases in several countries, and, most recently, two abduction experiences here in the U.S. are slowly producing a solid scientific database—facts which clearly indicate certain physical commonalities among the various events while pointing directly toward the fact that something very physically real, if as yet completely unrecognized by mainstream science, is “afoot with the cosmos.”

Control studies

Control studies are an important aspect of scientific inquiry. In the case of crop circles, the question has been raised as to whether people—armed with planks and boards, or rollers, or simply their feet—might be responsible for the many thousands of formations reported all over the world in the past 15 years or so.

Although the logistics might argue against such a conclusion, this has been the solution presented by most of the media for many years. Agronomists and plant physiologists have speculated that over-fertilization of the crops might be the culprit; and feeding crows, mating hedgehogs, and crazed prairie dogs have also been suggested by a number of highly imaginative individuals. In an effort to examine the more reasonable of these ideas, the BLT Team executed two separate control studies9 which examined the notion that people using both boards and a cement roller might be the causative agency, as well as the effects of 100% over-fertilization on a test crop field.

Results are clear

The results were quite clear: manually down ing crops with boards or cement rollers does not produce any of the plant anomalies reported over the years by the BLT Team. In these control studies the plants did not exhibit any of the typically observed (always at the statistically significant level) changes found in more than 90% of the formations sampled from several different countries. Specifically, these plants from the manmade control formations did not reveal:

1. grossly enlarged or elongated plant stem nodes;

2. marked bending of plant stem nodes;

3 the presence of “expulsion” cavities at nodal points;

4. stunted or malformed seed-heads;

5. markedly significant alterations in seed germination trials (including seeds which do not germinate at all, or seeds which do germinate but exhibit severely depressed seed growth, or seeds which do germinate but display seedling development inconsistent with that which is typical for the species or variety, or seeds which not only germinate but exhibit markedly increased robustness and rate of seedling growth).

There was bending of the plant stems noted, particularly in a young, immature crop, within 3-5 days after manual flattening; this effect is due primarily to gravitropism (the term now used to describe the growth of plant organs in response to gravity; the old term, “geotropism,” is no longer accurate since the effect has been observed in zero-gravity experiments with crops in space). The gravitropism effect occurs much more rapidly than phototropism (the growth of plant organs in response to light), which occurs much more slowly, although in a young crop phototropism may play a role when node bending is observed several weeks after downing the crop. The point here is that moderate node bending does occur, particularly in an immature crop, having nothing whatsoever to do with genuine crop formation energies—and this sort of node-bending is distinguishable from that which has been reported in the BLT Team’s research reports.

Same results

Furthermore, in the control study which examined the effects of over-fertilization on field crops, the same results were obtained: none of the basic criteria by which the BLT Research Team identifies genuine crop formations were found—no elongated nodes, no marked bending, no “expulsion” cavities, no stunted or malformed seed-heads, and no significant alterations in seed germination trials.

It was interesting to find that, although farmers have long thought that over-fertilization and subsequent violent weather conditions were the causes of randomly-downed crop regularly found in their fields, not one single stalk went down in the 100% over-fertilized test strip, in spite of several severe storms in the test area during the summer this control study was implemented.

In fact, it has been known for some time that so-called “lodging” (randomly-downed crop with no discernable geometric pattern) is related to the geometric crop circle phenomenon. The BLT Team has done considerable testing of randomly-downed crops,10 both when found by themselves in fields and when found in the same fields as geometric formations, discovering the same basic “energy signature” in the downed plants. The major difference appears to be in the intensity of the energies involved, with the randomly-downed crop exhibiting a greater degree of change than that found in the more visually interesting geometric designs.

Energy complex to blame?

So, real lodging—downed crop that is due to over-fertilization (which causes over-development of the seed-head and subsequent weakening of the plant stem) and subsequent weather damage—can and occasionally does occur; but this cause of randomly-downed crop is less frequent than is currently recognized. The BLT Team suspects that, much more frequently, the cause of randomly-downed crop lies with the energy complex responsible for the more notorious crop circles.

A few final facts for the thoughtful reader to consider. Patches of standing plants found inside many geometric crop formations, as well as massive areas of standing crop outside the visible formation borders, up to a tested distance of 300 ft. away,11 have revealed both the altered respiration rate cycles and anomalous seedling growth-rate changes already discussed; and these changes in the standing plants (which from a vi sual standpoint appear to be completely unaffected) are often as severe, or even more so, than the plant alterations found in the flattened crop. This “spillover” effect has also been found in fields with both geometric and randomly-downed crop.

Furthermore, node-length increases in plant stems have been found to decrease as a function of sampling distance away from the epicenter of an event, producing near-perfect linear curves, and in beautiful agreement with the Beer-Lambert Principle of physics (which describes the absorption of electromagnetic energy by matter). This Beer-Lambert correlation has been found repeatedly in downed crops in circular events when they were sampled meticulously enough, and it has also (in 1997, at Salem, Oregon) been found in standing crop on two different sides of a geometric formation12 in which there were many other anomalies present.

Significant linear correlations

And, finally, in a 1997 New York state crop formation “ sampled with real diligence by Larry Thomas (one where UFOs were witnessed near or over the field in which the formation was later discovered), very significant linear correlations were obtained by examining the relationship between the amount of magnetite material in the soil and the distance from the epicenters of the sampled circles. The type of linear distribution obtained was shown to agree with the fundamental physics of centrifugal forces on particles suspended in a rotating plasma system. Increased amounts of magnetic particles in the soils at unusual animal death sites have also been found to decrease in a linear fashion with sampling distance away from the carcass.

The importance of field workers

Over the last 8 years somewhere in the neigh borhood of 200 fieldworkers here in the U.S., in Canada, England, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, and Israel have contributed their time, energy, and financial support in the gathering of samples. Without them this research could not continue. There is also a large reporting network of individuals who keep us informed of new events, often within hours of their occurrence. The sampling and reporting networks are growing each year, with new groups being trained in the field sampling protocols; and recently a grant has been awarded BLT to enlarge the geological aspects of the investigation. In the face of indifference from the general media and larger society, this cooperation between people of similar curiosity and purpose, scattered all around the globe, is both essential and very sustaining. We all know that the constantly recited refrain, “there is no hard evidence,” is just an indication of ignorance—there is so much “hard” evidence, and so much more just waiting to be developed, that we’re having a hard time keeping up.

This book opened sooO many doors for me three years ago that i still find myself reading it. I'm going to share this with you in a series of blogs because it was meant to help us through times of intense transition and it's really inspiring to me...

The following is a download from Isabelle Kingston in 1989, long before much had been made public about crop circles. The information given to her is from a Universal consciousness called the Watchers, whose purpose, they told her, is to guide humanity through it's difficult periods.

Part 1:

"You ask the meaning of your circles in the fields. You have been made aware of the presence of the Watchers. Watchers is a name of a collective intelligence which guides you mortal humans. It is an intelligence from outside the planet, linked to angelic beings, part of cosmic consciousness.

We have been coming for years and years, and this has happened many times before. We have been linked with humanity to bring the power necessary to build the New Reality. Your country [Britain] lies in the centre of the great pyramid of light which encircles your world, and the energies of the Watchers bring love through magnetic channels.

The pyramid of power which surrounds [Britain] is the key, in your words, a button to press to activate. You are the immune system of your planet, the healing system which will create the changes, but also there are other keys which will need to be activated. This country is a testing ground, it has to be right before the whole can be lined up with other dimensions. Things changing at Stonehenge, a field of energy is above the stones. [Some crop] circles are the exact dimension of Stonehenge. Circles have appeared as a blueprint for humankind to mark that place as a place of power-it is as though those places are being unlocked. Centres are being awakened, it is part of the Plan.

Your Silbury Hill lies in a field of energy which is an area which draws cosmic power. There are ley lines running through the Earth, and at various points, lines of power are energized. It has happened mostly in this part of the country. Similar circles have appeared in other countries. There have also been energy healings to Peru, the Himalayas, and the West Coast of America-all places set down many Earth years before. We have come many times but humanity's awareness did not recognize the signs.

This anciend land holds the balance, it is the key to the world. Many of these [sacred sites] are being cleansed, as if made bright, so that they are channels of energy. Many lights have been placed there, but it is as if it needs a cosmic force to actually turn the switch. It is right for many groups to tend the lamp and get ready for the input of power.

In all things you are linked-an invisible web joining all to all and us to you. Therefore work is done for those who may be weaker links in the chain. Spiritual power, power from other dimensions, is drawn down to the Hill of Silbury-the word 'sil' derives from the word which means Shining Being. It is the hill of the Shining Beings which showed themselves to the ancient seers and started the work in earnest. The temples that remain were in fact meant to last until this cataclysmic time in Earth's history. Therefore the foundations were laid to help humanity at a later date. The building of the Hill of Silbury was directed by the Watchers.

The circles at Silbury [1990]-the Watchers helped with this, but this time there are also elemental aspects involved, because this is what is important at the moment. We have in fact to a degree stabilized the planet, but now the natural elements need help.

The energy has been put through [crop circles], through thought-processes, with light beams, rather like your national grid system, so we input power into the Earth's grid. This is to stabilize the energies in the Earth, to stop the Earth destroying you. You have been told of the purpose of the Hill of Silbury; if we placed the circles elsewhere you would not have recognized the connection between the energy of the ancient sites and that of crop circles.

It is an intelligence of elemental energy which is linked to other solar systems. You cannot conceive of the energy relayed at this time, but you have experienced sound waves transmitted at high frequency. CHANGE THE TEMPO OF THE SOUNDS AND IN THIS WILL EMERGE THE CODE. We will be giving different sounds at this time. It is affirmation of facts which is necessary. You have physical form: matter has form in its being. Matter is not just energy and light, but also molecular formations. There is a printout being shown in the circles, therefore you are being given the body of a form. Each entity shows itself in the formation, therefore you can communicate with these.

There are some formations which link to your natural elements. There are some working within the bowels of the Earth. There are some formations linked with the higher consciousness of the universe. With others there is also a link with the knowledge of the Old Ones. Therefore each formation is different. Some say that you have the inner understanding to feel the difference.

Sometimes [crop circles appear at] the same point, BUT AS A TUNE OF MUSIC, sometimes it is not easy to hit the same note. There is a music of the Earth and of the Universe, and a note will be revealed. Gradually the music will be completed and you will recognize the tune. Appearance of crop circles in local field draws the
curious and the true believers

Researchers and curious onlookers raced to find an intricate
pattern of rings and pathways placed in a seemingly otherwise
undisturbed rural Hubbard wheat field July 23, hoping to find
some explanation for the mysterious crop circles.

The large, flowing design -- first shown on KOIN TV July 22 --
drew people from throughout the Willamette Valley to take a
look. Glenna Sherwood, administrative assistant for the Hubbard
Police Department, said people were calling and coming into the
police station almost nonstop.

"It was like Grand Central Station around here," she said. "You
couldn't believe this place."

Hubbard Police Chief David Dryden said several people called to
discuss aliens, and officers reported receiving calls from
interested people asking that the area be cordoned off until an
investigation could be conducted.

Crop circles -- made famous by their appearances in England more
than a decade ago -- are thought by some to be created by alien
spacecraft, even though many circles have been proven to be made
by people using ropes and boards.

Keith Ardinger, a part-time crop circle researcher from
Portland, said he believed this design was probably created from
microwave radiation. Ardinger spent nearly half a day looking
for the site, armed only with the knowledge that the area was
located in a field with power poles along Whiskey Hill Road.

"That sucker is really hidden," Ardinger said. "You'd never know
that (it) was there unless you were really looking."

Ardinger, along with several other people, carefully walked
through the field to find the site, looking for clues as to its
origin. Because of the lay of the land, the circles are not
visible unless seen from the air.

Ardinger said he was impressed with the design.

"This is the best formation that I've even heard of in the
U.S.," he said. "This looks real genuine to me; this is a good
one."

"People do fake them, but we can pretty much tell by analysis
whether people faked them or not," Ardinger said.

He said wheat samples would be sent to a scientist and tested
for internal changes that would rule out human involvement.

Carol Pedersen, coordinator for the Oregon branch of the Centre
for Crop Circle Studies, said the swirl marks in the wheat and
the color of the growth nodes located on grain stalks were
possible indications that internal changes had occurred.

Doug Aamodt, owner of the field, said he wasn't sure what to
think about the design. He said he became aware of the circles
when Ardinger and fellow researcher Pedersen came to ask his
permission to study the site.

Aamodt said he didn't mind people studying the field. "I'm not
ticked off at all," he said. "I don't know, what can you think?"

Aamodt jokingly said that maybe he would start selling T-shirts
at his field.

"It should be worth something," he said with a laugh.

Jonah Nail, who visited the field, said he was not convinced
that the circles were created by some paranormal force.

"I think some of them are real, but I don't think this one is,"
he said. "It doesn't fit the pattern of all the other ones. I
mean, why would they (the aliens) change the pattern?"

Sherwood said the circles were a mystery she would like to have
solved quickly.

"This is just nuts," she said. "I would just really like to know
who did this."

For 10 years Robbert v/d Broeke, now 26 years old, has been at the center of a slowly-evolving series of events which very literally beggar the imagination. Growing up with his family in the rural southern Holland village of Hoeven, he began (at about the age of 16) experiencing increasingly strange encounters with light-balls, crop formations occurring around him, peculiar "dreams," poltergeist-like situations, various entites manifesting, out-of-body experiences and occasional UFO appearances in close physical proximity.
Robbert and I usually spend time out in the fields near Hoeven when I am in Hoeven. On the night of October 18th we visited a "special" field--"special" because Robbert has had multiple events occur there over the years. We were taking photographs (digital and film), curious to see if we would get any of the photographic anomalies Robbert regularly obtains on his visits alone.

It was around midnight and Robbert and I had begun to walk back toward the car, along the dikes which line these fields. Suddenly Robbert grabbed my arm and pointed out over the field closest to our car, saying "there, theredo you see it?" He described a "black cloud" coming down close to the field and, then, a "black spiral going down into the ground." I peered into the darkness in the direction he was pointing and, at first, saw nothing but the blackness in front of some trees at the end of that field.

Then I did see a dark movement of something coming down into the field very close to us, just as he said he was certain that a new crop circle was-at that instant-forming. Neither of us heard or smelled anytthing unusual and we experienced no sign of exposure to unusual EM energies. I suspect that Robbert's eyesight is better than mine, or perhaps he is more attuned to the crop-circle-making energy than I, but for whatever reason he could see exactly where the new circle was being created. And it was no more than 30 ft. in front of us.

disk-shaped object in Brazil

Brazilian UFO Magazine's consultant witnesses the transportation of
a strange disk-shaped object in the Brazilian state of Bahia

On Saturday, November 25th, Brazilian UFO Magazine's editor A. J.
Gevaerd received a call from Bahia with an intriguing story. The
caller was Francisco Baqueiro, a psychologist and therapist,
magazine's consultant in abductions, who said to have photographed
with his cell phone a strange and perfectly disk-shaped flying
object being carried by a non-identified truck in a road in the
Brazilian state of Bahia. The picture was taken on Tuesday, November
21st, at 07:16 AM.

Baqueiro said he heard of the transportation one day before when an
informer from an intelligence service called him telling an unknown
artifact crashed and was recovered in an area in Bahia known as
Recôncavo Baiano, south of the capital Salvador. The informer also
told the object was to be carried from that place to the city of
Feira de Santana, nearly 110km from Salvador, through the BR-324, a
two-lane road with heavy traffic linking Salvador to that
municipality. Despite the fact that Baqueiro was severely ill with
kidney disease, he decided to check what happened.

That Tuesday 21st, shortly after 06:30 AM, the consultant and his
wife spotted the truck carrying the object and followed after them.
The vehicle stopped at Posto Phoenix, a gas station along that road,
60km far from Salvador and near the entrance to municipalities of
Maracangalha and São Félix. Baqueiro pursued the truck for 15
minutes and reported that it was escorted by four Federal Police
cars - two ahead and two behind - which delayed the traffic in the
road.

"I tried to enter the gas station in order to better check what was
going on, but was prevented by the federal agents", states the
therapist. He also says the truck was very slow in the way and the
object on it was so large that the vehicle had to go on at the
center of the road. Even though, parts of that fuselage exceeded the
truck and touched the trees at the side of the road. "That was
certainly too heavy to make a truck to go so slow".

Despite the strangeness of that scene, the object was uncovered and
totally exposed. "Even with so many cars coming on the opposite way
(going to Salvador) and the other ones behind the truck, very few
people seemed to care about that scene", Baqueiro says. After the
Federal Police prevented him from entering, he stopped for a few
moments near Posto Phoenix and, pretending to be talking on the
phone, he took a single shot of the object. "I didn't try others
because I didn't want to catch their attention".

Baqueiro sent the picture to the Brazilian UFO Magazine via cell
phone, where it was uploaded into a computer and enlarged. Editor
Gevaerd and co-editors Marco Petit, Rafael Cury and Claudeir Covo,
along with the magazine consultants Fernando Ramalho, Wallacy Albino
and Wendell Stein have preliminarily examined the photo. All were
surprised by the image. One of magazine's co-editors and one of its
consultants were skeptical and related that image to a similar one
found on the Internet some months before. But a careful comparison
showed that the object photographed in Bahia is a totally different
thing (below). As for the previous picture, nothing came out and
there is no information concerning verification of its authenticity.

Francisco Baqueiro - a consultant for the Brazilian UFO magazine for
three years - is specialized in alien abductions and continues his
search for more information on the fact. Following his editor's
advice, he returned to that gas station two more times, but
employees seemed to be afraid of talking about the issue. Now
Baqueiro tries to find out exactly where the supposed crash might
have happened and where the object was taken to. "All I know is the
crash was in a sugar cane plantation, but the object was nearly
intact".

The region is home to oil refineries, but Baqueiro denies the
possibility of confusing a lid for water or fuel tanks with a
possible UFO. After having worked for Petrobras, the main oil
company in Brazil, he is sure to know such parts very well and they
never reach the size of the object seen on the truck. He also
rejects the possibility of the object being an attraction from a
theme park, since he also knows much of the engineering of one of
the largest parks in Bahia.

Right after the controversy reached the Internet, several UFO
researchers suggested that the disk-shaped object could be a cover
for some liquid container that couldn't be transported assembled,
and had to be taken in parts. That, according to a few
investigators, would explain why the object was being transported in
broad day light with no camouflage or at least some cover on top of
it. Nuclear engineer Luiz Carlos C. Pires sent an e-mail positively
identifying the disk-shaped object as a cover for a factionary
distillation machine, but the discussion is still open. And
information is giving to overseas colleagues as to obtain further
info that could explain the case.

In California SAIC (Science Applications International) has recently admitted that Antigravity propulsion is it’s number one project, which until recently was completely classified. Admiral Illman retired director of Navy Intelligence is the Chief C.E.O. of SAIC and would say little more, when asked if it was true that they are “back-engineering” extraterrestrial technology Illman was silent but has admitted previous participation in activities at Roswell and area 51 where classified aircraft are tested.

For those who have never seen an orb, saucer, or other supernatural apparition, the crop-circle may be as close as you will get. Nicola Tesla said that before meeting with Swami Vivekananda he could not gain an understanding of the quantum mechanics of the forces of universal order.
Robert Oppenheimer also quoted The Vedas during the first atomic test saying “Lo I am become the destroyer of worlds” (from the God Shiva). There is an ominous connection between spiritual enlightenment and the understanding of the intricate mechanics of the universe.
Could these crop circles be created by human intelligence similar to that of Tesla who laid the groundwork for antigravity propulsion, the force said to power saucers.

Crop Circles and Cymatics

I had a vision that alot of the Crop Circles that have been forming on this Earth, are the result of huge sound vibrations directed to certain spots on this planet via certain sound mediums like large crystal oscillators or large tonoscopes.

'Sound' can manifest into 'form' through the medium of various materials. "In the beginning was the word..." takes on a whole new meaning when you understand 'cymatics'.

Its so fascinating... whether it be from outside our world, or from the Top Secret Domes of scientific experiments here on Earth, it is fascinating that 'sound' can create the most beautiful geometric patterns ever created.

In 1815 the American mathematician Nathaniel Bowditch began studying the patterns created by the intersection of two sine curves whose axes are perpendicular to each other, sometimes called Bowditch curves but more often Lissajous figures. (se below right) This after the French mathematician Jules-Antoine Lissajous, who, independently of Bowditch, investigated them in 1857-58. Both concluded that the condition for these designs to arise was that the frequencies, or oscillations per second, of both curves stood in simple whole-number ratios to each other, such as 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and so on.

Since these discoveries, the Higher Scientific field and minds of this world have been experiementing and using these tools in the study of Sound Creation, unbenownst to the general public.

What creates the variations in the shapes of these designs is the phase differential, or the angle between the two curves. In other words, the way in which their rhythms or periods coincide. If, on the other hand, the curves have different frequencies and are out of phase with each other, intricate web-like designs arise. These Lissajous figures are all visual examples of waves that meet each other at right angles.

As you ponder the connection between these figures and other areas of knowledge, one comes to think about the concept that exists in many societies and their mythologies around the world, which describes the world as a web (crossing sine waves). For example, many of the Mesoamerican people regarded the various parts of the universe as products of spinning and weaving: "Conception and birth were/.../ compared with the acts of spinning and weaving; all the Aztec and Mayan creation and fertility goddesses were described as great weavers." A number of waves crossing each other at right angles look like a woven pattern, and it is precisely that they meet at 90-degree angles that gives rise to Lissajous figures.

In 1967, the late Hans Jenny, a Swiss doctor, artist, and researcher, published the bilingual book Kymatik -Wellen und Schwingungen mit ihrer Struktur und Dynamik/ Cymatics - The Structure and Dynamics of Waves and Vibrations. In this book Jenny, like Chladni two hundred years earlier, showed what happens when one takes various materials like sand, spores, iron filings, water, and viscous substances, and places them on vibrating metal plates and membranes. What then appears are shapes and motion- patterns which vary from the nearly perfectly ordered and stationary to those that are turbulently developing, organic, and constantly in motion.

Jenny made use of crystal oscillators and an invention of his own by the name of the tonoscope to set these plates and membranes vibrating. This was a major step forward. The advantage with crystal oscillators is that one can determine exactly which frequency and amplitude/volume one wants. It was now possible to research and follow a continuous train of events in which one had the possibility of changing the frequency or the amplitude or both.

The tonoscope was constructed to make the HUMAN VOICE VISIBLE without any electronic apparatus as an intermediate link. This yielded the amazing possibility of being able to see the physical image of the vowel, tone or song a human being produced directly.

Not only could you hear a melody - you could see it, too!

Jenny called this new area of research Cymatics, which comes from the Greek kyma, wave. Cymatics could be translated as: the study of how vibrations, in the broad sense, generate and influence patterns, shapes and moving processes.

When the "OM" is uttered into a tonoscope which transfers the sound into its visual geometric representative, it creates a pattern identical to the SRI YANTRA Mantra. Isn't that incredible!

We live in such a wonderous Universe... everything is sound, vibration, geometry and light waves: with the basis and power of love as its root.

Lets keep our visions and tones for peace uplifted and soon it will infect the whole world!

The Return of the Swallows

The Swallows return for another season

This brilliant and elegant formation has just recently appeared on the slopes above The Devils Den. The ancient stone dolmen nestles in the valley below this impressive event. This must be, for me at least, one of the most exhilarating formations I have ever seen. The swallows seem to be in full flight and the formation as a whole takes on a three dimensional quality from the air. It brings back memories of the Swallows formation in the late season of 2003, which I also had the privilege to fly over. I believe they both carry the same powerful ecological message that is so important to us all. I feel the wonderful qualities of this incredible formation simply cannot be understated.

What do you all think about how these crop circles seem to be forming in patterns around the aquifer systems made up of a specific type of rock and occuring with greatest frequency during times when the water table is lowering and drawing away from the surface?

Do you believe stonehenge was built where it was *because* that's where the circles occured or vice versa?

What about all this "new" evidence about how the authentic circles form?

Most importantly, what do you say to people who still believe they're all made by teenagers getting drunk and using wooden boards and ropes to make them? haha...

I saw a rather good documentary on crop circles a while back... explained a lot of the stuff that really supports it scientifically. Like how the molecular composition of like the sugars or something has altered in some way that indicates it was exposed to high heat? And the microscopic deposits of lead pellets dusted on everything in some circles? Crazy stuff...

I'm not sure I have those facts straight but it was definitely some real interesting data. I also am fascinated by the theories about the crop circles that have appeared that ARE recognizable forms and even decodable symbols and data. Some have resembled ancient scripts and others, well there was that one that was an exact replica of the pictogram included with the data sent on that space probe (forget the name... the one with leonardo's man picture in a circle?), only some of the data had been changed to read something different, like instead of hi we're third planet from the sun in a system with 9 planets, blah blah... it read like we're 4th in a system of 12 or something I don't know...

Anyway, interesting nonetheless...

Caduceus

I just uploaded two views of a formation discovered on the 26th of June. As well as the striking resemblence to some kind of bee or wasp, I also find it reminiscent of the Caduceus. The caduceus is the winged stave entwined with serpents, carried by hermes and adopted by apothecaries. I've been seeing this symbol appear with great synchronistic convenience in recent days. It's popping up everywhere for me. Anyone else have any special tie to this symbol?

Intuitively speaking...

I think that crop circles are a natural phenomena of the evolving conscioussness of the planet itself. Just as your neurons cooperate to create mental pictures, I think that clusters of minds also cooperate to create a new level of cognitive "imaging" that is above thought. It is hard to conceptualize because concepts are comprised of thoughts and using thoughts to describe a process that is of a higher order then thought is a difficult proposition indeed.

Not only are crop circles a result of this functioning, they stimulate it as well. Just looking and studying "genuine" crop circle designs stimulates the parts of the mind that connect and relate to the higher dimension of consciousness I am speaking of. They are focal coordinates of sorts.

They also have unique harmonics which different minds will resonate and attune with according to the nature of the process described within the design. I have noticed that there are certain designs that I find very attractive and others that don't move me at all. Remarkably, this attration/repulsion doesn't seem to have to do with the level of intricacy of the design but rather the shape, positioning and size relationship of the elements involved.

It is interesting to me how much of the crop circle conversation is about who and how, and very little about the why? But that is also a notable curiosity in our popular media as well. What ever happened to the why?

Meaning, meaning, meaning. Maybe the *only* purpose for them is to get us to return to the roots of meaning!

These are things I feel, not things I know.

QUESTION 1.

"How long has the phenomenon been with us?"

Well, the crop circles were first recognised by the media in 1980, when the first real Newspaper report was published on a grouping of Circles that appeared below Westbury White Horse in Wiltshire. However, there have been photographs of a Quintuplet in 1978, and of course the famous "UFO Nests" in Australia in the late sixties, although we will never know if this was the real phenomenon. Many Farmers have mentioned that circles have been on their land for generations, but hardly any little photographic evidence for this has come to light. It's possible that the Crop Circles have been around a lot longer than the twenty years we knowof, but we feel more evidence is needed.

QUESTION 2.

"Why is the county of Wiltshire the most populated area for them!?

It has always been a strong theory of ours, and from many other researchers within the Crop Circle Community, that the Crop Circles are in some way linked to Ancient Sites. The county of Wiltshire has an amazing amount of Sacred Sites dotted across its landscape, none more so than the Avebury area itself. A number of people within the community believe that the phenomenon is attracted to the Ley Lines around these sites, which ancient man was very much aware of, and so built their sites in accordance to them. This may not seem very scientific, but many dowsers have found these natural lines crossing within formations. We believe the county of Wiltshire is very significant for their appearance, and I'm sure will continue to be.

QUESTION 3.

"How are they formed? How are they bent down to form the design?"

The simplest of all the designs is, of course the single circle form. A characteristic of a crop circle is a circular depression within a field of crop (Oil Seed Rape, Barley, Wheat, Oats) where the plants themselves are flattened at the very base, (or frequently bent at the lowest node junction) in a spiraled pattern. The spiral can be varied in its construction, but generally the plant is bent over at 90 degrees to the standing crop around it. In very young crop at the start of the season, a crop circle can appear to be "brushed", but this is due to the crop recovering because of its immaturity. From the evidence inside many formations we have visited, the force involved in creating them is extremely rapid, but at the same time impressively accurate!

QUESTION 4.

"Is there any scientific evidence to prove that a genuine phenomenon exists?"

In the early days, the scientific community was uninterested in the phenomenon, however a Biophysicist Dr. William Levengood, was already carrying out research on affected plants within formations in 1989. It wasn't until 1992 when Nancy Talbott, and John Burke, two interested Americans, injected financial support into Levengood's work. It is now called BLT (Burke, Levengood & Talbott) Research Team. They have carried out some fascinating test on the plants, and have found some amazing results.

"What do you think about the theory that it's just some natural wind forces causing the circles to appear?"

In 1989, George Terence Meaden, a Meteorologist based on Bradford Upon Avon, published a book entitled "The Circles Effect and Its Mysteries". As many people are now aware, his theory of the Plasma-Vortex phenomenon became world famous for the theory on what is actually creating these designs,. Indeed ,many of the shapes in the late eighties were quintuplets and ringed circles, so they could possibly be explained by this Electro-magnetic vortex. In 1990/91, his theory started to become increasingly difficult to explain, as 1990 was the year when the "Pictograms" started to appear. It's my belief that these shapes are not caused a natural wind Vortex, but Meaden's work is still respected, and may point towards something deeper using a type of vortex to create these amazing shapes?

It all started back in 1989. A work colleague walked into the office one lunch time, and was quite overwhelmed by what he had just bought from the bookstore. It was the book "Circles Effect and its Mysteries" by Terence Meaden. It was astonishing to think that these designs were appearing, not only without our knowledge at that time, but also on our very own doorstep. We promised ourselves that we would venture out the next year to find them, and we haven't looked back since!

No, not in the structured craft sense! UFO's can cover anomalous lights which are seen in the vicinity of crop circles, or on the night of their creation. I don't personally believe that alien structured craft are producing the designs. I feel it's more earth bound than many people realise. It's more tied up with Earth Energy, and consciousness itself, than any alien agenda. However, I do believe aliens exist, but it's a different phenomenon that is creating these designs.

"Do you believe that they have some religious significance?"

Not in a Christian Orthodox sense, or any other main religion. In some way, the crop circles can give you a whole new perspective on reality, and why we are here. You can feel at times closer to a universal creator, or GOD if you like, but my personal opinion is that the phenomenon is breaking down the old beliefs, and bringing in new concepts, which gives you a better understanding of reality in general. I wouldn't say it was a new religion, its just showing us something that has always been there. Whether you tap into it is down to the individual.

Both Mark and myself have never actually witnessed a crop circle being made. I suppose its every "Croppies" dream to actually witness either a pictogram forming, or just a plain crop circle forming. It was a very strange feeling watching the Olivers Castle video back in 1996, as it gave you an impression of what it might be like to experience a creation of a crop circle! Alas, it was proved to be a fake, but it kept everybody on the edge of their seats for quite a few weeks!

QUESTION 10.

"Do you believe that most are hoaxes?"

We have been asked this same question many times, and we always stated, that when a formation is claimed to be a hoax, there is very little evidence to actually prove one hundred percent that it was. Some crop circles can look very irregular and messy in their construction, which can point towards human involvement. Many of the formations are so complex in design that it would seem impossible to make in the middle of the night. Of course you can't rule it out entirely, as we mustn't underestimate ourselves, because there have been man made formations down through the years. We do believe that some are hoaxed every year, but there is definitely a real phenomenon interacting with these man-made designs!

QUESTION 11.

"I was wondering if you could recommend to me a couple of recently published books on Crop Circles?"

The most recent book that has been published, is by Andy Thomas entitled "Vital Signs" which is a publication that takes you through the highlights of Crop Circling from the late eighties to the present day. It is an excellent book for the dedicated "Croppies" of the world, or for someone who is new to the phenomenon. It has a comprehensive selection of photographs of the most impressive formations to appear, with first class accounts of the strange occurrences surrounding the phenomenon. Highly recommended. Andy Thomas has also written "Fields of Mystery" from 1995 and "Quest for Contact" published in 1997.

I can also recommend "Cosmic Connection" from 1995 by Michael Hesemann. This book has some fantastic aerial photography within this publication of 1994.

Michael Glickman's small A5 size books are very good for studying the geometry of the formations, published by 'Wooden Books'.

QUESTION 12

"Do you know something we don't know, has the government tried to cover up the real source of the phenomenon?"

In 1990, the Government held a meeting with cabinet ministers, and no doubt the Military, to discuss the phenomenon, and what implications it held regarding the public, and defence matters. Their answer was that their was no answer! The phenomenon remained a mystery, which was quite a result, and demonstrated the type of impact the year of 1990 had at government levels. It was shortly after this meeting that the Hoaxing campaign started to hit the crop circle world. Operation Blackbird at Bratton near Westbury was the first casualty, by individuals who created a crop circle formation in front of the infrared cameras on top of Bratton Camp. It's purpose was to ridicule the whole phenomenon and the researchers who organised it. However another formation appeared just days later, but too far for the Cameras to monitor.

I believe that there was a major campaign to squash the public's interest in the phenomenon, and this carried over into 1991 with the Doug and Dave fiasco. The Military have shown interest in the phenomenon, and strange manoeuvres around the Avebury area are currently taking place, as if they are chasing or monitoring something airborne. What this anomaly could be, is anyone's guess? Perhaps it could be linked to the crop circles?

"Do you know if the existence of a map (of England) with all crop circles findings marked out"?

We have not come across any such map, which shows all of the crop circles marked out. This would be quite some undertaking, but could be produced as technology progresses. Most of the information is within many of the publications and magazines written on the subject. Just the Avebury area alone would be quite some task, but its a nice idea.

Many people have become quite obsessed with the phenomenon, and indeed I have walked down this road, but as the years go by, you learn to control your feelings. But they still have a very deep emotional response, which is their power. They are not a language which you can piece together, but they speak to you on a subconscious level. In the early years back in 1990-91, I met many people who said that they recognised the designs, but couldn't remember where from? Perhaps we have a deep connection with them, and hopefully they are unlocking this knowledge. But I do believe it's part of a personal development, but it is not a religion.

Nearly everyone within the crop circle world agrees that their message is quite important, that they are a gateway if you like to the more elemental side of life, and that they show you another side to reality, one which has changed many people's lives including my own. Their connection to Ancient Sites also holds a key to what is creating these designs, they are indeed "Temporary Temples" within the landscape. Earth energy I believe is partly responsible!

"I was wondering if you have any information as to the number of crop circles, are they on the increase?"

In the late eighties the number of circles was dramatically less, than the amount we see today. Of course the designs were not as elaborate as the nineties formations, as the quintuplets were as complex as you could expect, probably the largest formations in 1988 appeared at Silbury Hill. In 1989, the Quintuplets reappeared near Silbury and indeed, this year experienced a dramatic increase in events around the country. One would have surmise that the phenomenon was on a climb, but it was 1990, that broke all records, and exceeded everyone expectations!

The year of 1990 was quite exceptional, it was the first year I became involved (Stuart) and will always be fondly remembered. The amount of formations appearing in this year was breathtaking, and know body could possibly deny, that the phenomenon had stepped up a gear from 1989. A massive shift had taken place, with totally unique designs appearing, not just in Wiltshire/Hampshire, but around the country and the world! I still believe, that the Crop Circle Phenomenon was an indication of how peoples consciousness had changed between 1988-1990. Political world events were also evidence of this shift.

Its my personal belief that the phenomenon is part of the process for world change, its not a matter of numbers anymore, but the personal experience of identifying the shapes themselves.

QUESTION 17.

"Does anyone live near them to be able to hear them being created, or even see them?"

Many people live very close to fields were Crop Circle appear. An example would be Alton Barnes, as their houses are surrounded by fields which the formations appearing in year after year. Quite a number of the village itself are skeptical of the phenomenon, however there are some residence who believe something is occurring in their area. The very first unusual occurrence, was on the very night the famous East Field formation appeared in 1990. A number of Dogs within the village were
extremely restless that night, which resulted in an airborne object that flew over the village in the early hours of the night. Apparently, there were no night maneuvers taking place, and the object itself was far to low for anything military.

A number of people drive passed East Field on their way to work in the early hours of the morning. One such person still claims today, that the1996 Double Helix formation was not there when he drove passed at 5am in the morning, but was first discovered a couple of hours later! This would indicate a daylight event, especially within the month of June. A month later a similar story was told at the Stonehenge formation, this time by a pilot of a light aircraft.

I am convinced that many other people have seen strange events in and around the Crop Circle countryside, but are scared to come forward! This is totally understandable, perhaps their frightened of being ridiculed.

"What are the straight lines which span across the whole field in double lines. There appear to be many of them?"

A very simple answer to this! These lines are what we call "Tramlines" They are made intentionally by the Farmer to spray the crops throughout the summer, and to cut the fields at Harvest time. Many Americans ask us this question, because most of their fields do not have "Tramlines" as they are normally sprayed by light aircraft. In fact, we are very interested in the fields within America and Canada, as their organic farming produces fields that are literally miles in length, resulting any human involvement in the circlemaking process extremely difficult. QUESTION 19.

"I have heard of recent developments in crop circle investigations that leads to conclusive evidence that crop circles are caused by propulsion devices....would you have any information on this"?

Well, this theory was considered as a serious concept within the 1995 book "The Gift" by Doug Ruby. His feelings were that the designs themselves were a 2D representation of a propulsion system. The designs were made in to models and then spun at very high speeds, producing energy fields. According to Doug, the design were a Gift from other beings, to give us a new understanding to space travel. Interesting, but we have not heard of Doug since the launch of his book. If your out there Doug, please get in touch!

The formations themselves are not actually created by a propulsion system. They are far to intricate, and would show a much more random and irregular aspect to their designs. Can't really take this as a serious theory, and no conclusive evidence has been discovered to prove this.

"Would you please report the stem/stalk observations with the photo's? Are the nodes blown open? Are the stalks broken or simply bent...etc? If we could read these observations, it may help each one of us determine for ourselves which crop circles may be real or faked."

In answer to the first part of this question In many cases we unfortunately don't have any photo's on the stalks within each formation. It's a detail which needs to be covered within the phenomenon, and it would be very interesting to observe each event as it happens. The Crop Circle Connector's policy is to get the information out to the people as soon as we can. In many cases, we have to sacrifice this side of the research, but we do include text with regard to ground observations, when its available.

The 1998 formations did in certain cases, have the typical Blown Nodes, especially in the Avebury area. This type of effect on the plants cannot be explained easily, but we still have to be careful before jumping to conclusions. The BLT team in America (Burke, Levengood, Talbott Team) have carried out some ground breaking analysis on the plants themselves with some startling results. Without their dedication, we would not be discussing a scientific side to the Crop Circles.

QUESTION 24.

"Did either of you guys see some television special earlier this year where they showed how 2 people with a couple of boards and some rope could make crop circles. They did a time-lapse video shoot and it took these two guys about 4 fours to make a most impressive crop circle, all videotaped. What do youthink?"

This particular program has not been shown in this country yet, but we have already seen a copy taped on American television. Its a very quick demonstration on how this tea of individuals set about creating a large design within the dead of night! The time laps photography basically showed how they set-out the pattern but working from different points within the formation. It was soon pointed out, that the floor construction had the appearance of being extremely messy. The individuals stated later, that they wanted the film company to show the lay of the crop, but there wasn't enough time to fit it into the program...HMM!

Overall, it did indicate that a dedicated team, could produce a large design in a couple of hours, but it still left quite a number of open questions, especially from people who have been researching the finer details of the Crop Circles. Also, it doesn't prove that the phenomenon is completely man-made, only that we could possibly create a good copy?

Snow Circles are extremely rare! In the Himalayas in 1975, a grouping of four circles were photographed below a mountain range, but Ice Rings have been discovered in northern Sweden, and also 3-4 inches deep Salt Bed Rings in America. These events are few and far between, but nevertheless can not be ignored as a possible link?

This is from an interested party only. I don't claim to know anything about anything but what I read, but might these Crop Circles be a message to another intelligence besides human? Why do we assume they are meant for us? Are we that egotistical? Maybe we are not the only sentient beings on planet earth! Just a thought!

Many people are aware now, there have been numerous theories on the source of the phenomenon. Quite a number of people still believe that we are dealing with Extra terrestrials who are creating these designs within the fields, with understandable reasons. There have been a number of UFO's witnessed within the vicinity of the formations, since the late eighties. These events have caused a reaction from the UFO community to brand the phenomenon the work of Aliens, but what actually are these UFO's ?

In most cases these objects are very extremely small, but can appear in different forms. Some people have witnessed metallic objects that appear to reflex the sun rays, whereas others have seen Balls of Light that emit their own light, but in every case the witness describes them as being self aware.

Are they communicating with ourselves? My own personal opinion is that they are without a doubt a message of some kind, and that we are learning more about ourselves and our environment through them. For me personally they are teaching us a lesson in consciousness itself, and how to interact with the Earth, and the human mind. Their location near to ancient sites is also a major clue to their teaching, as ancient man once held a profound wisdom of their environment through geometry and positioning.

The crop circles are showing us a new science, which we have sadly lost, but ancient cultures practised.

In 1990 the crop circle phenomenon became front page news within the English national press. A hysteria was built up around the phenomenon, and indeed the work of Aliens was considered seriously within certain papers. It was regarded as a genuine phenomenon, and many people in England became fascinated by the mysterious shapes that were appearing overnight.

The year of 1990 out the phenomenon firmly on a map (excuse the pun) as the previous years were relatively quiet in comparison. The press were quite content to publish many formations as they appeared. The next year was equally as popular, but by the end of the summer of 91, alarm bells I'm sure started to ring for "The powers that be" Back in the summer of 1990, Operation Blackbird was infiltrated by what was regarded as a military stunt to debunk the phenomenon, but at the end of the season of 1991 major steps were brought into to squash public opinion, hopefully for good!

We have all heard of Doug and Dave, and the fiasco that followed in September 1991, when they claimed to the world that they were responsible for the phenomenon. Many people believed their claims, mostly from casual followers of the crop circles. Indeed even myself had doubts on whether we were dealing with a genuine phenomenon, such was the power of their claims. But cracks started to appear, and Colin Andrews proved on live TV, they were basically lairs, and couldn't be trusted.

I still feel today that these two gentlemen in their retirement years were part of a major operation to seriously damage the phenomenon. Their claims to hoaxing would never stand up in court, and indeed today they have precious little evidence for their work. However I do believe they have created a few, but never the amount they originally told the world. Lets not forget that many events would appear over one night, right across the country.

In 1996 the English press started to write some very balanced articles on the phenomenon, which were extremely positive in nature, but its still regarded as a sensitive subject to publish widely. But the phenomenon is still suffering from the events in the early nineties, as many people just see them as the work of drunken lads from the Pub.
